Christopher J. Burns Interviewed for Minnesota Lawyer

Christopher J. Burns, who heads up the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration Practice Group, was interviewed in March 2012 for an article in Minnesota Lawyer. Entitled “Estate Tax Guessing Game Continues,” the article looks at the current state of long-term federal estate tax reform that was last addressed by the Tax Relief Act of 2010. Burns is quoted as saying, “Estate planning, for many people, is the ultimate ‘bucket list’ item that you do once, thinking about your own mortality. You make decisions, and then you’re done with it, at least for a period of time. It can be difficult for attorneys to get clients to think about it on an annual basis.
