Alan C. Eidsness of Henson Efron Honored as 2012 Attorney of the Year

Alan C. Eidsness, head of the Family Law practice group at the Minneapolis law firm of Henson Efron, was honored as a 2012 Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer. The honor recognizes the best achievements in the Minnesota legal profession based on the attorney’s leadership, involvement in major cases or other newsworthy events, excellence in corporate or transactional services, and public service.
Eidsness focuses his practice in Family Law but also represents clients in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration and commercial matters. He also provides Alternative Dispute Resolution services (both as a Mediator and as a Consensual Special Magistrate).

In addition to his practice, Eidsness serves as a mentor at the firm and volunteers his time and expertise by teaching at numerous CLEs. Additionally, Eidsness served as a board member, vice president and treasurer of The Jade Foundation founded by former First Lady Terry Ventura. He is also an evaluator for the Hennepin County Financial Early Neutral Evaluation Program.
Eidsness has been chosen to be a Top Ten Minnesota Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers®, is recognized as one of the best lawyers in America in Family Law and Family Law Mediation by Best Lawyers in America, has been elected to the American College of Trial Lawyers and is AV® Preeminent™ peer review rated by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell. He received his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School.
