John C. Levy Named President of Minnesota Food Truck Association
April 18, 2013
John C. Levy, shareholder and business law attorney at the Minneapolis law firm Henson Efron, has been named president of the Minnesota Food Truck Association (MFTA). In February, Levy organized MFTA to advocate for the unique issues facing the fast-growing food truck industry, as well as support the vitality, diversity, and quality of food trucks through education, job creation, advocacy and community outreach.
“It’s an exciting time to be a food truck owner in the Twin Cities, but there are some potential challenges ahead,” said Levy, who also serves as chief manager and co-owner of AZ Canteen, a food truck launched last summer with Travel Channel’s Andrew Zimmern. “By working collaboratively with our community, including our customers, city and state government, the restaurant industry and other businesses, we hope to build awareness of this great movement and the diverse culinary experiences it offers.”
As president of MFTA, Levy will lead the association, using his experience as a business lawyer to serve as a spokesman for Minnesota food trucks and help with the development of the food truck community in Minnesota. Levy is AV® Preeminent™ peer review rated by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell and received his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.
